  • Direct Assessments: Tasks administered in person. About 45 minutes to 1 hour in duration.

  • Summary Report: A 5 to 6-page concise overview of the student's performance with targeted recommendations for improvement. Along with an interpretive report with tips, you'll receive a score report including:

  • Grade Equivalent: This shows the grade level most closely aligned with your child's performance.

  • Percentile Ranks: This indicates how your child's performance compares with others in the same grade.

  • Standard Scores: These scores provide a more precise measure of your child's abilities compared to the average performance of students in the same grade.

  • Cost: $400

  • Timeline: Once I receive a signed contract and a $50 deposit, I schedule the assessment. These are typically set within two weeks from the initial consultation call. Results will be emailed to you within 1 week of completing the assessment.

ADHD Screening with QBCheck

(Ages 6 years to 60 years)

$200

Do you suspect your child could have ADHD but you are not quite ready to have a full ADHD evaluation with a physician? Want to see if a treatment (medical, therapy, or supplemental) for ADHD is effective? Our ADHD Screening (performed with QbCheck technology) is your solution.

  • Clever Cogs cannot diagnose a medical condition such as ADHD. QbCheck isn't a standalone ADHD test; it's designed to enhance the assessment process by combining objective data and subjective information.

You will receive a written report — which is NOT a diagnosis — that will detail the findings and how they are affecting your child’s learning.

You may keep the report for your own information, or take it to your child’s doctor for their use as a full ADHD evaluation.

  • QBCheck is a computer-based assessment for people aged 6 to 60, which checks attention and impulsiveness. It is becoming the preferred instrument for ADHD evaluations by physicians. Unlike relying solely on a teacher or parent interview, QbCheck provides scientifically-backed, objective results.

Widely recognized and extensively documented, QbCheck is an ADHD assessment tool that holds the CE Mark and has been registered by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Supported by over 30 clinical publications, QbCheck redefines ADHD assessments, leading to more informed diagnosis and treatment decisions.

  • Checking Attention and Impulsiveness:

Your child will sit in front of a computer for about 15-20 minutes. On the screen, they'll see letters or symbols, and they'll need to press a button when they're supposed to.

The QBCheck looks at two important things:

Impulsiveness: It sees if your child sometimes presses the button when they shouldn't or forgets to press it when they should.

Attention: It checks if your child can focus and react quickly.

    What the Results Mean:

Clever Cogs will compare how your child did on the test to what's expected for their age. If there are unusual patterns, it might suggest ADHD.

  • QbCheck may be readministered every 4 to 6 weeks to check the efficacy or treatment; s with the screener, you may take the report to your physician for their review or use at for your own information if you are using a non-medical treatment such as therapy or supplements.

  • If you notice your child struggling with learning and attention, or if they're facing challenges in school that don't seem to improve, an evaluation can provide valuable insights into their specific needs and how best to support them.

With our menu of services, you can always start with a screening or academic ability test and see if there is further need for testing.

If there is a family history of learning struggles, or the child has had frequent ear infections, was born premature, or had speech and/or motor delays, the likelihood of developing a learning disability is greater. Diagnosis and early intervention is the key to academic success.

  • We strive to make our services accessible to all families. With a variety of testing options and payment plans available, we work with you to find a solution that fits your budget. While exact pricing varies by need, our screening services start at $100 and our full evaluations are under $1,500.

Also, screening or check-up costs can be applied toward the price of a full evaluation when scheduled within 30 days.

  • It depends on the assessment service selected and scheduling availability:

➡️The sessions themselves take between 45 minutes to 8 hours (broken into smaller sessions)

➡️Reports and follow-up meetings usually occur within three weeks.

Expect a detailed process that allows us to thoroughly understand your child's needs. We aim for efficiency without compromising the quality of our evaluations. After your free consultation, you will receive a specific timeline.

  • Clever Cogs offers personalized, in-depth assessments led by experienced educational diagnosticians. Unlike standard school evaluations, we focus on understanding learning within the non-traditional classroom, offering tailored strategies and a comprehensive view of their unique learning profile.

Also, we provide testing services to college-aged students and adults. The school system does not provide learning disability assessments for those over 21 years of age, and often not over the age of 18.

  • Choosing an educational diagnostician can be more cost-effective — often, a difference of $1,000s — and less time-consuming — we can test and share results often in as little as three (3) weeks — than seeing a neuropsychologist.

We focus specifically on learning and educational implications, providing targeted recommendations for school and home, which can be more directly applicable to educational planning.

On the other hand, if you or your child has a seizure disorder, brain injury, aphasia, or other co-occurring concerns, a neuropsychologist will likely be able to provide you the best information.
