Facing struggles alone?
When your childβs confidence in learning starts to fade, itβs heartbreaking.
The uncertainty of where to turn for help can leave you feeling lost and overwhelmed. Youβve spoken with doctors, teachers, and friends, but the answers seem out of reach.
And with so many educational businesses pushing their own solutions, it's hard to know who to trust.
But finding the right path forward doesnβt have to be so frustrating.
Hello!
I'm Kelli Heinemeier, an Educational Diagnostician, educational therapist, former teacher, and founder of Clever Cogs Educational Testing Services. As a mom, I understand the impact that learning challenges can have on a child and the entire family. As an educator with 18+ years of experience, I know how hard it can be to find answers to those challenges.

If you notice your child struggling with learning and attention, or if they're facing challenges in school that don't seem to improve, an evaluation can provide valuable insights into their specific needs and how best to support them.
With our menu of services, you can always start with a screening or academic ability test and see if there is further need for testing.
If there is a family history of learning struggles, or the child has had frequent ear infections, was born premature, or had speech and/or motor delays, the likelihood of developing a learning disability is greater. Diagnosis and early intervention is the key to academic success.

Clever Cogs offers personalized, in-depth assessments led by experienced educational diagnosticians. Unlike standard school evaluations, we focus on understanding learning within the non-traditional classroom, offering tailored strategies and a comprehensive view of their unique learning profile.
Also, we provide testing services to college-aged students and adults. The school system does not provide learning disability assessments for those over 21 years of age, and often not over the age of 18.

Choosing an educational diagnostician can be more cost-effective β often, a difference of $1,000s β and less time-consuming β we can test and share results often in as little as three (3) weeks β than seeing a neuropsychologist.
We focus specifically on learning and educational implications, providing targeted recommendations for school and home, which can be more directly applicable to educational planning.
On the other hand, if you or your child has a seizure disorder, brain injury, aphasia, or other co-occurring concerns, a neuropsychologist will likely be able to provide you the best information.
